Medusa : Medusa is actually the bird and snake goddess of ancient matriarchal cultures.  she was depicted by the greeks as a hideous hag and then destroyed by Promethius as a symbolic image where patriarchy triumphs over matriarchy.  i went back to Medusa's roots and showed her as the Kosmic goddess she truly was.

Green Bird Song : i like to imagine what it would look like if we could see a bird's song.  this is my best interpretation of it.

The Alchemy of God : the figure in the painting is the anthropomorphic History of God.  SHe exists in a space that is seperate from the realm of science (this can be seen in the blue veil that exists between the figure and the background).  however, both of these, science and the History of God are only descriptions of reality, they are not reality itself.  to find that we must look within ourselves to experience it.  that is the REALLY short explanation of this piece.  i can elaborate much more though :)

Ananda's Dream : Ananda is a beautiful little girl, the granddaughter of a wonderful yoga teacher.  she is so full of spirit i was compelled to paint her.  here i have her daydreaming and dancing around her is what she might be dreaming of.  she is painted in the mische technique, what i paint everything in, which is a combination of oil and egg tempera to create the image out of highlight rather than shadow so it apears to glow from within.
